Compounds
Plastic compounds combine the properties of a filler (e.g., ceramic or metallic) and a plastic in a single material. The inheritance of the filler characteristics by the respective compound becomes more pronounced the higher the filler content in the finished material.
Challenge
In existing compounds, processability, especially flowability in injection molding, decreases rapidly with increasing filler content. The full performance range often cannot be achieved because the limits of processability have been reached.
The solution
The patented PlastFormance technology enables injection molding capability to be maintained even at very high fill levels (80% vol.). This results in lower injection pressures, longer flow paths, and more complex component geometries.
